Is It Time to Rename the Cons the Canadian Convict Party?

As you probably know, I've written hundreds if not thousands of posts about the nefarious activities of Boss Harper and his Con mob.

And for more information please consult the latest version of Alison's Perps with Perks.

Because you can't find a better group mugshot anywhere.

But sometimes a simple cartoon can sum up the situation better than a thousand words.

And this is one of them...

Gawd. Why didn't I think of that? The Canadian Convict Party.

Was there ever a better name for a party like that one?

Or a better reason NOT to let Boss Harper delete his e-mails.

Emails in the Prime Minister's Office are at risk of disappearing forever, and need to be better monitored to prevent staff from improperly deleting them.

That's the conclusion of a 16-month probe by Canada's information commissioner, triggered by the temporary disappearance of emails crucial to the RCMP's criminal investigation of Senator Mike Duffy over inappropriate expenses and housing allowance claims.

Because if some can go "missing" so can others.

The lost-and-found emails — and protocols that require bulk email deletions after just 30 days for all PMO and PCO staff — raised troubling questions about the permanent loss of historical records and of evidence needed for court cases. They also raised the prospect of politically embarrassing material disappearing with the tap of a delete button.

And since we know Harper's probably getting his advice from all the wrong people...

We really need to protect those e-mails, if we're to fire him as soon as possible.

And make sure it all ends badly...

On his way to Paraguay.

Or a prison near you...

Very hard trivia question.... Which of the following statements was actually said?

Nixon: "When the President authorizes it, that means it is not illegal."

Harper: "When the Prime Minister authorizes it, that means it is not illegal."

Answer: THEY'RE BOTH CORRECT!!!

Nixon.
The Cons know that the law does not apply to them. Steve would not have to tell the PMO that. Nor any of his MPs or Cabinet Minister. Actually I am probably maligning Con MPs. I suspect there are one or two with some semblence of ethics

Simon: Instead of CCP, they can even keep their well known initials of CPC and instead call it either the Canadian Party of Convicts, or Convicts Party of Canada, eh? :)

hi Kirby...that image isn't mine. Somebody sent it to me so I have no idea who made it. But since that person is creamy on our side, I'm sure him or her wouldn't mind at all if you used it as well. If I ever find out who made it, I'll send you the name so you can put a creator's credit next to it...

hi jrkrideau...I'm always hoping that the same arrogance of power that brought down Nixon will also bring down Harper. But as for maligning Con MPs I wouldn't worry about that. As far as I know only one MP Brent Rathgeber resigned his seat on a matter of principle, while the rest of them acted like sheep. Some may have ethics, but if they do they kept them well hidden, or sacrificed them to power...

hi anon...well as you can imagine I'm rooting for the Canadian Party of Convicts to get as big as possible. So big they will have to move their meetings out of the prison cafeteria, and into the prison courtyard...;)

Hi Simon,
I would like to use a number of your pics to accompany my YouTube song about Harper. In return, you may use my song. Please let me know if that's acceptable and under what terms. Thanks.
